Agency Referrals

Criteria
The target client groups for Right Service Right Time are:
  • Children/tamariki, young people/rangatahi up to 25 years and their families/whānau who are experiencing challenges that are impacting on their health and wellbeing such as grief, coping with loss and change, psychological issues, struggling to manage children’s behaviour in the home, etc.
The intention is to provide preventative and early intervention supports and services to the target group to improve the wellbeing of children and young people and improve family/whānau functioning. This early intervention focus means that we do not accept referrals for families who have current involvement with Oranga Tamariki.

Referral Process
Referrals will go to the Right Service Right Time Coordinator who will link families/ whānau to the relevant services and agencies as soon as possible.

The referrer needs to:
  • make referrals on the Right Service Right Time Referral form
  • provide as much information as possible to enable accurate assessment and linkage to appropriate interventions
  • include a signed family/ whānau consent

Family/ Whānau Consents
Families/ whānau must consent to being part of this referral process and to sharing their information.

Right Service Right Time would prefer family/ whānau consent to be on its Family Consent Form. However, it will accept the family's consent on the Referral Agency's Consent Form if submitted at the time of referral to Right Service Right Time.
