Families seeking assistance often have multiple needs and require the services of more than one programme. They often go to multiple locations and interact with a range of processes and workers. The Right Service Right Time approach enables a wrap around service response. Those who need the most help, are the least likely to be able to navigate a complex system. They can often fall through the net. An identifiable point of entry to services and clearly defined referral and service pathways are critical to ensuring better access to family services.

Right Service Right Time is a family centred,  seamless  service delivery system that offers a broad continuum of services and tailors these services to the strengths and need of families

• Creates an accessible and identifiable place of entry for referrers.
• Identifies the best response for families.
• Facilitates a referral process into the array of services that are available  (including single service, multi agency response, statutory service, or other response or service).
• Incorporates a linkage to services which directly connects families to services.
• Coordinates the intake and workflow of referrals to the NGO sector.
