• Promotes the best interests of children and families
• Promotes co-ordination between services
• Promotes relationship building and partnership between services and families
• Supports parents/carers/callers capacity to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of their child/children
• Strengthens the family's capacity to problem solve, take control of their lives and to recognize and value their strengths
• Provides real choices to families and resources families to develop clarity about needed supports and the opportunities for involvement of natural networks.
• Promotes decision making, responsible action and access to a broad resource base.
