Agency Referral

image12Criteria

The target group for Right Service Right Time is vulnerable, children, young people and their families who are:

  • likely to experience greater challenges as the child or young person's development has been affected by the experience of risk factors and/or cumulative harm; and/or
  • at risk of concerns escalating and becoming involved with CYF Care and Protection if problems are not addressed.

The intention is to provide services to the target group earlier to protect children and young people and improve family functioning.

Referral process

Referrals will flow through from Right Service Right Time to the relevant family services agency as soon as possible.

The referrer must:

  • provide as much information as is necessary to enable appropriate assessment and intervention.
  • make referrals on the Right Service Right Time Referral form.
  • include a signed family consent.

Family Consents

Families must consent to being part of this process and to sharing information.

Right Service Right Time would prefer family consent to be on its Family Consent form. However, it will accept the family's consent on the referral agency's Consent Form if submitted at the the time of referral to Right Service Right Time.

Referrals Not Meeting Criteria

The Right Service Right Time Coordinator will link the caller to needed community or agency resources if a referral does not meet the acceptance criteria.
